Ella Hendley Stevens is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for National Women's Soccer League club NJ/NY Gotham FC.
She was named the national Gatorade Player of the Year in 2016 as the best high school soccer player in the U.S.
At Duke University, she led the team in goals as a freshman with 10 goals and added six assists, and she was named to the All-ACC team for all four years of her college career.
She scored her first professional goal in the first minute of her first regular-season start in 2022.
She trained with the U.S. youth national teams from the under-14 level up to the under-23 level and contributed to the U-20 teamβs victory in the 2015 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.
She earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Duke University.
She received her first call-up to the senior national team in January 2025.
During the offseason, Stevens has incorporated reading more into her routine, thanks to a gift of Kindles from a teammate.
She's also learning to cook, with soups being her go-to dish during chilly weather.
In a series of "this or that" questions, she chose Instagram over Twitter, thin crust over deep dish, dogs over cats, tea over coffee and Hulu over Netflix.

She's a morning person.
One of her favorite TV shows is Keeping up with the Kardashians.
