Celia Clare Gaynor is an American proffesional footballer who plays as a defender.
Gaynor was born in Shelby Township, Michigan, and grew up in a family with deep ties to competitive soccer.
She is the older sister of fellow professional soccer player Justina Gaynor, who played alongside her at Michigan State University.
She attended Notre Dame Preparatory School in Michigan, where she led her team to a D2 State title in 2016 while scoring 19 goals as a sophomore.
Gaynor graduated from Butler University summa cum laude with degrees in two fields before pursuing graduate studies.
She earned a Master of Arts in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University.
Before moving to Mexico, she played for Fort Lauderdale United FC during the inaugural season of the USL Super League.
