Serna was born and raised in MedellĂn, Colombia, specifically growing up in the San Javier neighborhood, also known as La Comuna 13.
She began her football journey at the age of five, often playing against boys in her local neighborhood.
Serna made her senior international debut for Colombia on September 3, 2022, in a friendly match against Costa Rica.
Liced credits her family, particularly her mother and grandmother, as her biggest supporters during her early career in MedellĂn.
In 2022, she was part of the Colombian team that won the gold medal at the Bolivarian Games in Valledupar.
