Maitane López Millán is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chicago Stars FC of the American National Women's Soccer League and the Spain national team.
She began playing football at the age of five, inspired by her uncle Aitor's career with Real Sociedad.
Although she was born in Águilas, she moved to Mallorca at age five, where she began her football journey.
In the summer of 2014, she also represented the Balearic Islands in beach football competitions.
Outside of football, Maitane enjoys singing and playing guitar.
She holds a degree in Therapeutic Pedagogy for children with special needs and has a degree in Classical Philosophy.
A Spice Girls fan since childhood, she had the opportunity to meet Victoria Beckham.
She has a puppy named Arwen.
She is in a relationship with former Gotham teammate Sinead Farrelly.
