Marlene Müller is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.
She was crucial contributor in Leipzig’s 2. Frauen‑Bundesliga title run, scoring 10 goals that season and helping secure promotion.
She began playing football at age 5 with Teltower SV in Berlin.
As a child, she originally wanted to play in goal — but her dad said “No, you're not going in goal”, and she ended up in attack.
Before focusing fully on football, she played drums and even enjoyed wakeboarding.
Her move to football was inspired when another kid in her music group switched to football and she followed.
She planned to study and play in the USA after high school, but COVID-19 blocked her visa plans — which led her to join RB Leipzig in 2020 instead.
She's a big fan of Lionel Messi and Thomas Müller — and even owns a Thomas Müller jersey.
She is also inspired by Anja Mittag and Lira Bajramaj.
