Paula Comendador Prado is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Spain at youth international level, including U17, U19, U20 and U23 level.
She was discovered almost by chance: a Madrid CFF first-team player kept seeing her play football with her brothers in the neighbourhood and told the club about her talent.
Her U17 World Cup ended with mixed emotions: she won the Golden Boot as top scorer and the Silver Ball as the tournament’s second-best player, but Spain finished runner-up after a penalty shootout defeat.
Her Real Madrid pathway has been unusually complete: after joining in 2021, she played for every women’s academy team at Valdebebas and won the league with each one.
Her international ambition is huge: she has said her goal, if possible, is to win with every Spain age-group team.
Comendador was named best player of the previous season at the 2023 Gala del Fútbol de Madrid, where the Madrid football federation also honoured her as part of Madrid’s Spanish U17 championship-winning team.
