María Dolores Delgado Rossi is an Argentine-Italian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Argentina at youth level, progressing from the U17 setup to the U20 national team.
Dolo grew up with what was essentially a mini football pitch in the family garden — artificial turf, two small goals and even floodlights.
Before joining Spain’s elite academies, Dolo played in a mixed Swiss youth league where she regularly faced boys’ teams — and she was already used as a centre-forward.
Elite sport runs on both sides of her family: her father Matías Delgado was a professional footballer, while her mother Laura Rossi was a competitive tennis player who later became a coach.
Dolo grew up around Roger Federer through her father’s friendship with the Swiss tennis legend, and the Delgado family even has a photo with him together.
Although Dolo spent much of her childhood outside Argentina, her parents deliberately kept Argentine culture alive at home through traditional music, games, food and family asados.
