Sole Jaimes was born in Nogoyá, in Argentina and she learned to play football in the street playing alongside boys.
Sole became the first Argentine woman to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League when Lyon lifted the trophy in 2019.
She has played club football in Argentina, Brazil, China, France and Italy.
She met Argentine goalkeeper Kelly Chiavaro at Napoli in Italy, and the couple later shared their journey into parenthood publicly when they announced in 2023 that they were expecting a baby girl named Aurora.
Her strongest scoring season came with Santos in Brazil, where she won the BrasileirĂŁo Feminino Golden Boot in 2017.
