Sara Rosted Holmgaard is a Danish professional football player who plays as a defender for Real Madrid and for the Danish national team.
She has an identical twin, Karen, who plays for Everton.
She went with her sister through all the same clubs, deciding on their football career together. They both played for Everton, Turbine Postdam and Fortuna Hjørring.
She also played handball growing up but ultimately decided for football after college.
The Holmgaard sisters agree that without supporting and pushing each other they wouldn't have the careers they have now.
