Sofie Thrige

She started playing football at the age of four for her local club, Farsø Ullits IK (FUIK).

Football runs in the family, Sofie's twin sister is Denmark international Sara Thrige, who has played professionally in Italy and the Netherlands.

Sofie and Sara remained together at Team Viborg for several years before eventually playing for different clubs.

Away from football, Sofie worked at a dementia centre while studying for a master's degree in educational psychology at Aarhus University.

OB extended Thrige's contract by another year in January 2026 after she started all 14 of the club's A-Liga matches in the first half of the season and both Danish Cup games.
