Emilie Henriksen

Football was already a family affair, she has two cousins who play football, while her father was a team manager at Vejle Boldklub.

She originally played as a striker when she became a senior player at Vejle before eventually developing into a defender.

Her move to Brøndby in 2017 came after she had initially planned to stay with Odense Q, but she found the quality of Brøndby's training too good to turn down.

Coaching has been part of her football life for years, she first coached at Odense Q's football school and later worked with the club's Stjernespillerskole.

Henriksen describes herself as a huge Taylor Swift fan and joked in 2019 that she was probably the biggest Taylor Swift fan in the Brøndby dressing room.

If football had not been her sport, gymnastics was one possibility because her older sister did gymnastics, she also described herself as a big fan of track cycling.

She moved to Sweden in 2020 because she viewed the Damallsvenskan as more evenly matched than the Danish league.
