Anna Jøsendal

Her two older brothers inspired her to start playing football. Her first football years included playing in the garden before she joined Odda Fotballklubb.

Biathlon was her alternative sporting dream. She said that, had football not worked out, she might have pursued biathlon.

Her preferred foot changed when she was young. Her older brother told her that left-footed players had an advantage, so she began training both feet and eventually preferred her left.

Liverpool was her childhood dream club. She described joining Liverpool as a dream dating back to when she was a little girl and said the club had always been her favourite.

She had imagined playing for Liverpool's women's team long before it became reality. A Liverpool supporters' site reported that Jøsendal had posted an old newspaper clipping in which she had talked about wanting Liverpool to have a women's team so she could play for them.
