Chiara Cecotti is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Italy at youth international level and has built her career through experience in Italy and Switzerland, developing into a reliable and versatile defender.
Before focusing entirely on football, Chiara tried several different sports, including volleyball, swimming, horse riding and baseball, before discovering that football was the perfect fit.
She has joked that making an important sliding tackle gives her more satisfaction than scoring a goal.
Growing up with a brother who played as a goalkeeper helped shape her defensive mentality from a young age.
Her move to FC Lugano was the first time she had lived away from home, an experience she says helped her mature both as a footballer and as a person.
After returning to Italy, she chose Como because she believed in the club's ambitious long-term project and wanted to be part of its growth.
