Alice Pellinghelli

Football entered Pellinghelli’s life at the age of six, when the coach of her older brother’s team invited her to join a training session.

In 2022, she was studying Biological Sciences at university alongside her football career. Her university studies formed part of her search for a reliable “plan B” while pursuing the ambition of becoming a professional footballer.

She took part in Sassuolo’s charity evening supporting ADMO, the Italian bone-marrow donor association, spending time with guests and contributing to the auction, autograph and photo activities.

At 13, Pellinghelli voluntarily gave up a penalty by telling the referee that she had slipped and had not been fouled. Her honesty earned her a Green Card, a youth fair-play recognition introduced within the FIGC competition format.

As a teenager, she attended a Parma match in the Curva Nord as a supporter, joining in with chants and choreography throughout the game.
