Football runs in Samantha’s family: she fell in love with the game by watching her older sisters Jenna and Monica, who later played college soccer together at Marymount California University.

Samantha’s first national-team camp in San Salvador became a family homecoming: she travelled with her mother and met a different group of relatives almost every day.

Away from football, Samantha has explored starting her own fashion brand, turning her interest in style into a potential business project.

Asked to choose between American burgers, Salvadoran pupusas and Italian pasta, Samantha picked pupusas — and admitted that she missed them while living in Italy.

After an ACL injury kept her out for an entire season, Samantha said she wanted to return not only for herself, but also for everyone who invested their time and energy in her eleven-month recovery.

Alongside her college football career at Notre Dame, Samantha earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the university’s prestigious Mendoza College of Business.
