Santoro’s football story began after she watched her brother playing with friends on a local pitch and immediately wanted to join in

A self-described rebel as a child, Santoro disliked rules and believes her exuberant personality brought both positive experiences and occasional mistakes. She still carries some of that childhood rebelliousness, but now combines it with the judgement and awareness developed through adulthood.

Away from football, she passed the professional examination required to work as an insurance intermediary.

Santoro participated in Sassuolo’s charity evening for ADMO Emilia-Romagna, supporting awareness of bone-marrow donation through an auction, photographs and autograph activities.
