Chiara Vigliucci is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Italy at youth level, earning a call-up to the national Under-17 squad.
Her football dream was partly inspired by Francesco Totti. As a little girl, Chiara was watching a Roma match with her father when a Totti goal made her ask whether girls could play and score goals too.
Chiara started playing football at the age of six and spent her early years as the only girl in a boys’ team, learning to answer doubts and stereotypes through her performances on the pitch.
She launched her own official website shortly after turning 15, creating a personal archive filled with football memories, match reports, photographs and moments from her teenage years.
Rap was her favourite music genre growing up, while playing PlayStation was one of the ways she occasionally relaxed away from football.
Fabio Melillo became much more than a coach in her journey. Chiara credited him with helping her grow both as a footballer and as a person, and has continued to carry his influence and memory with her.
