Francesca Quazzico

Football has been part of Francesca’s life almost from the beginning — her mother introduced her to the ball when she was only two years old.

Football runs in her family: her mother was a goalkeeper and taught Francesca to approach everything with courage, commitment, passion and joy.

At just 14, Francesca left her family, friends and familiar surroundings behind to move to Bari and pursue her football dream.

Her bond with coach Fabio Melillo began before they even met in person — after their first phone call, she immediately thought: “That’s my coach.”

The sea is one of Francesca’s favourite places to switch off and recharge — a fitting connection for someone who proudly carries her Taranto roots wherever football takes her.
