Claudia Ciccotti is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder. She has represented Italy at U19, U20 and U23 level.
Claudia began playing football at the age of ten and spent her early years competing in a boys’ team, where she remained until she was sixteen.
Away from the pitch, Claudia is a qualified physiotherapist. During her time at Roma, she combined both careers by treating patients in the morning before travelling across the city for afternoon training.
Claudia names Francesco Totti and Paralympic champion Bebe Vio among her greatest sporting inspirations. She admires Totti’s unique creativity and Bebe’s determination to chase her dreams regardless of physical limitations.
Reading is one of Claudia’s favourite ways to escape everyday life. She particularly enjoys adventure stories and mysteries, while the sports book that affected her most was Playing Football in Kabul.
Claudia dedicated her first goal for Ternana to Fabio Melillo, the coach who had played an important role in her football journey and with whom she had shared a long-standing bond.
Claudia received the CONI Medal for Athletic Valour, an honour she described as a reflection of the hard work, determination, resilience and sacrifices behind every achievement.
