Katja Schroffenegger
Katja Schroffenegger is an Italian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. She has represented Italy from youth level through to the senior national team.

Katja grew up with true mountain-life roots in Alto Adige, where climbing, chopping wood and helping at her family’s barn were part of her childhood.
Her creative side goes far beyond football — she loves cooking, drawing and even making wood sculptures.
Katja has one of the most unique off-pitch hobbies in football: sewing, with Italian media even noting that she takes her sewing machine with her.
Before becoming a goalkeeper, Katja played outfield with boys until she was 13, while her goalkeeper story quietly started at home catching balls with her father.
One of her most meaningful football memories came on her 18th birthday, when she saved her first penalty.
Katja once joked that a goalkeeper has to be a little crazy, because not everyone enjoys jumping into mud to catch a ball.
