Martina Bressan

Before she became a footballer, she played basketball.

She did not begin her career as a defender. Bressan first played as an attacking winger, then moved into midfield before eventually settling in defense.

Her teammates know her by the nickname "Bress."

Her first football trial was with the boys’ team in her hometown of Cologna Veneta.

Her older brother inspired her to start playing. She used to watch his football matches every Sunday before deciding she wanted to play too.
