Elisa Bartoli is an Italian footballer who plays as a right back. She has represented Italy at youth and senior international level.
Bartoli was born and raised in Rome and grew up supporting AS Roma long before becoming the captain of the club's women's team.
Her love for football began in her grandmother's courtyard, where she played with her cousin and other local boys.
Bartoli became the first captain in the history of AS Roma Women when the club launched its women's section in 2018.
She captained Roma to the first Serie A title in the history of the women's team in 2023.
She won the UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship with Italy in 2008 before establishing herself in the senior national team.
Following an injury layoff in 2022, she shared that returning to the pitch felt strange after more than a month away from competition.
