Beatrice Merlo is an Italian footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Italy at U17, U19, U23 and senior international level.
She started playing football at just four years old alongside her brother with a boys' team linked to Parma Calcio in Milan.
Before joining Inter's pathway, she spent four seasons developing at Masseroni.
Merlo originally played as a central defender before coaches moved her to the flank because of her speed.
She was part of the Italy U17 squad that finished third at the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.
Her first call-up to the Italy senior national team arrived in November 2019.
When celebrating her 150th Inter appearance, she described Inter as "home and family" and dedicated the milestone to her family for their support.
