Samantha van Diemen is a Dutch-born Dominican Republic footballer who plays as a centre back. She represented the Netherlands at youth and senior level before switching to the Dominican Republic in 2025.
She is eligible to represent the Dominican Republic through her mother’s side of the family.
She waited before committing internationally to the Dominican Republic because she had come through every Dutch youth national-team level.
She became the first female Feyenoord player ever to appear for the Netherlands senior team.
She started playing football at age four, joining training sessions and matches with her older sisters.
Her favorite downtime is relaxing on the couch in front of the TV and meeting friends.
She sees herself working in football media one day, with sport analysis or presenting both on her radar.
