Kay-Lee de Sanders is a Dutch footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented the Netherlands at youth international level.
She grew up in Amsterdam and trained at Abcoude, Buitenveldert and CTO Amsterdam, and her Abcoude days even included matches against a young Matthijs de Ligt.
She became a full Ajax first-team player in 2017 and spent eight seasons with the club before moving to Italy.
A modelling agency approached her around age 14, but the pilates requirement did not appeal to her, so she chose to focus on football instead.
Her biggest lesson is self-belief, and her advice to younger players is to ignore outside pressure and choose their own happiness.
Ronaldinho and Kaká were among the players she grew up watching, and both came back into the story when she moved to Milan.
Fashion is a real off-pitch interest for her, and she has talked about wanting a runway moment one day.
Kay-Lee is a big dog lover and has a pet of her own.
