Christy Grimshaw

Grimshaw was born in Kirkcaldy and developed as a player at Deeside and Aberdeen, making her Scottish Premier League debut with Aberdeen in 2013.

She moved to the United States in 2014 to attend Barry University, where she played college football for four years.

Her Barry years were matched by academic success too, with the university listing her as a double major in business and marketing.

Christy is an MBA graduate from Barry University.

She has said that playing abroad was a major part of her personal development and that she likes to chase challenges.

Just six years before signing for AC Milan, Christy was working as a waitress at a hotel in Stonehaven while playing for Aberdeen. Today, she captains the Rossonere—a remarkable journey she once described as her "football fairytale."

Her family watched her play since she was little, and her first Scotland call-up felt like the moment all that hard work finally paid off.
