Thea Kyvåg

Thea grew up in Nittedal, just north of Oslo, and started playing football with Gjelleråsen IF, where she scored an astonishing 26 goals in 16 matches during one youth season.

Before choosing football, Thea played both football and handball at a high level. She trained in both sports every day and often had matches in both during the same week before eventually deciding to focus on football before starting high school.

Sporting success runs in her family. Her mother, Sahra Hausmann, is a former Norwegian handball international who won the 1997 World Championship and the 1998 European Championship with Norway.

Although her spell in England was short, she has described it as a crucial experience that helped her become more independent and prepared her for life abroad.

Thea says her mother always gave her one simple piece of advice: "Don't think, just do it." She still uses that mindset when approaching important matches and career decisions.

Fashion is one of her biggest passions away from football. She previously worked part-time in a Follestad clothing store while playing in Norway because she genuinely enjoys style—not just for extra income.

Milan appealed to her for more than football. She has described the city as the perfect place because it combines football, fashion, culture and great food, joking that she finally has somewhere she can "be a little extra."

Despite quickly falling in love with Italian cuisine, she admits that even pizza, pasta and risotto can become repetitive. She enjoys cooking at home and often prepares her own meals instead of eating out every day.
