Kayleigh van Dooren is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. She represents Netherlands on senior international level.
Kayleigh started playing football when she was five years old at her hometown club RKVVO in Veldhoven.
Football runs in her family. Her father not only introduced her to the sport but also regularly trained with Kayleigh and her brother on local pitches, helping develop her technical skills from an early age.
Away from football, Kayleigh completed a Master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Twente, balancing elite sport with higher education.
During the 2024–25 season, she scored 20 goals in all competitions for FC Twente, the most prolific campaign of her senior career. Her performances helped FC Twente become the first Dutch women's club to complete a domestic treble of league title, KNVB Cup and Super Cup.
Kayleigh says she has dreamed of playing for the Netherlands since she was a little girl, and making her senior Oranje debut in 2022 was the realization of a lifelong ambition.
An unfortunate knee injury shortly before the winter break in the 2022–23 season became an opportunity for growth. Instead of dwelling on the setback, she focused on improving herself so she could return stronger.
