Martine Trollsås Fenger is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Norway at youth international levels.
She grew up in Kristiansand and started out as an “energetic child” who tried everything from trampoline to handball to swimming before football fully took over.
A family football tournament was the moment people around her realised how competitive she was, because she hated losing and even hated conceding goals.
Her football inspiration is Pernille Harder.
She was not always a natural centre-forward. On smaller pitches she played in defence, later moved into midfield and as a No. 10, and only then grew into life as a striker. She did not enjoy playing up front at first, but changed her mind once she started learning the role and scoring regularly.
She has admitted her finishing is ahead of her cooking. One of the comfort meals she singled out was Fjordland meatballs.
