Whenever highlights from Poland’s historic U17 World Cup win over Zambia appear, Kinga still clicks on them to watch her goal again.

Chelsea has been her dream club since childhood, her first favourite player was John Terry — and even Chelsea’s blue colours helped win her over because blue was one of her favourite colours.

Before football became her main focus, Kinga was also a successful young runner, finishing third in a major children’s road race and helping her school win silver in a regional cross-country relay in 2018.

Football was a family affair during her teenage years: Kinga’s father Daniel was closely involved in her development and was even part of the staff of her U15 futsal team in Bydgoszcz.

One of her childhood football trips became a real winter adventure: before a 2017 friendly in the Czech Republic, more than a metre of snow had to be cleared from the pitch so the match could even take place.
