Elvira Björklund is a Swedish goalkeeper for Damallsvenskan club Djurgårdens IF. A product of the club’s youth system, she has risen through Sweden’s youth national teams and currently features for the Swedish U23s.
She joined Djurgårdens IF from IFK Viksjö as a 15-year-old, progressing through the side before breaking into the senior setup.
She spent part of 2022 on loan at IK Uppsala while still training with Djurgården.
She describes herself as “a very communicative player” who tries to direct and help teammates constantly.
Asked about future goals, she listed three things she wants badly: more playing time, getting Djurgården out into Europe/Champions League, and (eventually) winning Damallsvenskan gold.
Before she was known as a goalkeeper prospect, she was recognised for her work as a youth referee at IFK Viksjö.
She likes to snowboard in her free time.
