She was a three-sport kid in high school. She played football, volleyball, and basketball before focusing on goalkeeping.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and still thinks of art as “pure pleasure.”
She has said she needs “something else” outside the game to keep balance, and in her downtime she draws, plays a lot of video games, reads, and watches series.
She really likes horror films and often chooses scary movies when the team are travelling.
Before turning pro in 11-a-side, Burns represented Canada at the World University Futsal Championships in both 2016 and 2018.
