Freya grew up in the Midlands, near Birmingham in a football-loving family. She started playing football casually, inspired by watching her father and brother.

Her family are big Villa fans so she was pleased to start her youth career in Aston Villa academy at the age of 11.

After Villa academy, she then spent two years in Birmingham City academy where she also made her first team debut in 2019.

She values support from her senior teammates when starting her career at a young age: "Chloe Arthur and Hannah Hampton were very supportive. Chloe, especially, helped me a lot since we played on the same side of the pitch."

She views mental and psychological support as crucial, potentially even more important than physical attributes in football.

Freya Gregory began her international career in 2018 with England U17, later joining the U19 team and playing in key qualifiers. Her international experience has boosted her skills and confidence, with aspirations to join the senior national team and contribute to England's success globally.

She is interested in joining the police after football.

She likes being active. Even on her days off, she finds it hard to just relax and do nothing.
