Samya Hassani is a Moroccan forward who represents Morocco at senior international level and has played club football in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Turkey.
She began playing organized football relatively late compared with many professionals, starting competitive football at age 16.
Hassani developed in the youth systems of SDZ Amsterdam, Wartburgia, and VV Alkmaar before reaching the Dutch top division.
In July 2021 she signed for Belgian club KAA Gent, moving abroad for the first time in her professional career.
She has represented Morocco internationally, including appearances with the Morocco U20 team before moving into the senior national squad.
Hassani received the Best Sportswoman of the Year honor at the Diversity Sport Awards in February 2024.
