Géssica do Nascimento is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender. She has represented Brazil at senior international level, including at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Her father was her biggest supporter, and losing him was the hardest period of her career.
She received an official civic honour from her hometown of Brotas in 2019 for representing the city through her football career

Helping her family financially through football is one of the achievements she is most proud of.
She originally played volleyball before fully committing to football.
She wants women’s football to inspire not only girls, but entire communities including men and children.
