Marit Auée is a Dutch football player who plays as a defender for Brighton & Hove Albion of the English Women's Super League and the Netherlands national team.
She started playing football when she was 6 years old for one of the local clubs.
She found her passion for football while playing on the street or at school.
She first thought of becoming a professional football player when she first played for the national team at around fourteen or fifteen.
Her best football memory is scoring a winning penalty in America for her grandfather who died that morning.
She went to Dallas Baptist University in the US to be able to play and study at the same time but returned after one year because she became homesick.
Her inspiration to become better is to make her family proud.
She studies Human Movement Sciences at University of Groningen.
Her dream is to represent Netherlands at senior level.
She also did athletics in school.
