Mônica Bitencourt is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender.
Despite playing for several of Brazil's biggest clubs, Moniquinha has remained deeply connected to her hometown of Catanduva, with every official club announcement continuing to introduce her as "the player from Catanduva."
Returning to Ferroviária in 2023 was special for her, saying it was "a great privilege" to wear the club's colors again after her first spell in 2018.
After suffering two serious ACL injuries, Moniquinha spent two full years away from competitive football before finally making her debut for São Paulo in 2022.
She called wearing the São Paulo shirt "a privilege" and said she felt embraced by the entire club when she finally returned to action.
