Liriel came through the renowned Internacional academy, one of Brazil's most successful producers of women's football talent.

Off the pitch, Liriel enjoys spending time with her daughter, Éricka, who is a special part of her life.

Before becoming a professional footballer, Liriel described herself as very shy, saying she leaves her shyness behind whenever she steps onto the pitch.

As a teenager, she already dreamed of becoming a professional footballer while balancing school with training through the CMJU programme.

She started playing football with boys when she was just 10 years old. Her early experiences came in mixed teams before joining a structured development programme.
