Roselord Borgella is a Haitian footballer who plays as a forward. She has represented Haiti at youth and senior level, and was part of the squad for the country’s first FIFA Women’s World Cup appearance in 2023.
She comes from a big family with six children: four brothers and two sisters.
She started playing football at eight years old in her neighborhood, and the game also became the path that helped her stay in school.
Chile changed her career almost by accident: she was there on vacation visiting Haitian friends, asked where she could play, trained with Santiago Morning, and stayed.
Borgella has been a real football traveler, with reported stops in Haiti, the United States, South Korea, Chile, Israel, France, Turkey, and Mexico.
By the time Haiti reached the 2023 World Cup play-offs, she had scored 15 goals in nine matches in that qualifying cycle.
