- Furness earned 95 caps and scored 38 goals for Northern Ireland, making her the nation's leading goalscorer across both men’s and women’s teams.
- She made her senior debut as a teenager in 2005, shortly after the Northern Ireland women's national team was re-established.
- At club level, she represented Sunderland, Reading, Tottenham, Liverpool, Bristol City, and most recently Newcastle United.
