Noe Bejarano steps up at Real Madrid, following in the footsteps of her idol Marcelo

Real Madrid have secured the future of one of the most promising players to emerge from their academy, La Fábrica, with Noe Bejarano signing a first-team contract until June 30, 2030.

The full-back now leaves the reserve team behind after three seasons in Real Madrid’s youth structure. Bejarano joined the club in 2023 and has since played a key role for the second team, helping them win promotion to Primera Federación, the second tier of Spanish women’s football, while also lifting the prestigious RFEF youth tournament in 2024. Bejarano has also enjoyed success at international level, winning the UEFA Women’s Under-19 European Championship twice with Spain.

Before officially becoming a first-team player, she had already made her senior debut for Real Madrid in May 2025, taking her first steps alongside the players she had long looked up to. Now, she will have the opportunity to train and compete alongside them on a daily basis.

One player in particular has shaped the way Bejarano sees the full-back role: former Real Madrid legend Marcelo. In an interview with Spanish newspaper AS, she explained that she had studied the Brazilian closely and tried to incorporate some of his qualities into her own game.

That influence is easy to see. Bejarano is a technically gifted full-back who enjoys getting forward, carries the ball with confidence and is not afraid to take on opponents. She also possesses an excellent strike of the ball, making her a threat in advanced areas.

Childhood dreams come true

In 2023, she fulfilled a childhood dream by joining Real Madrid, the club she had supported since she was a young girl. Before moving to the Spanish capital, she spent two seasons with Real Betis.

Now, after signing her first-team contract, Bejarano has taken another major step in her career and moved even closer to establishing herself at the club she always dreamed of representing.

She had already earned the trust of former Real Madrid women’s coach Alberto Toril, who included her in the squad on several occasions.

Although she did not always feature, Bejarano was called up for some of the club’s biggest matches. Toril selected her for league and Copa de la Reina Clásicos against Barcelona, while she was also part of the squad for the 2024/25 Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal.

New season, new chances

Her promotion is also part of Real Madrid’s wider commitment to developing homegrown talent. Players such as Laia López and Silvia Cristóbal have also been given opportunities as the club continues to shape its first-team project.

At the same time, Real Madrid have strengthened the squad with several high-profile arrivals. Felicia Schröder, regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents and a player who attracted interest from a number of major clubs, is among the new signings like Felicia Schröder or Elisa Senß. For Bejarano, the coming season could provide a real opportunity to establish herself in the first team.

The departures of Antonia Silva, Sheila García and Yasmim Ribeiro have created space at full-back, opening the door for the young academy graduate to compete for regular minutes.

After working her way through the reserve team and earning opportunities with the senior side, Bejarano now takes the final step into Real Madrid’s first-team squad — continuing a journey with the club she has supported all her life.
