NY Gotham celebrates its second title in three seasons, despite entering the playoffs in eighth place.

• Gotham FC defeated Washington Spirit 1-0 at PayPal Park in San Jose to claim the 2025 NWSL Championship—marking their second title in three seasons.
• Entering the postseason as the #8 seed, Gotham became the lowest-seeded team in NWSL history to win the championship.
• The winning goal came in the 80th minute, when Rose Lavelle converted a low cross from Brazilian teammate Bruninha.
