The former German international Melanie Leupolz and celebrated midfielder for Bayern, Chelsea and Real Madrid officially confirmed today that she will end her club career this summer.
Her journey started at SC Freiburg, then starred at Bayern Munich (2014–2020), before moving to Chelsea (2020–2024), and joined Real Madrid ahead of the 2024–25 season.
Earned 79 caps for Germany, scored 13 goals, and won major honours—including UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 and Olympic gold in 2016—before retiring from the national team in September 2023.
