Ahead of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, each England squad member was presented with a shirt from her first-ever football club during a special ceremony at St George’s Park on June 23, 2025.
26 different grassroots and youth clubs were represented—including teams like Alnwick Town FC (Lucy Bronze) and Villarreal (Hannah Hampton who grew up in Spain)—highlighting their varied pathways into professional football.
Around 150 club coaches and players attended to see their former stars and celebrate the role local volunteers played in nurturing the talent.
