Amanda Linn West is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for the Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League.

She was born in Sundsvall, Sweden, but grew up in Burlington, Ontario.
Her father, Marc West, was drafted by the Boston Bruins and played professional hockey overseas.
She made history at the University of Pittsburgh by scoring the first ACC win in three years for the program in 2019 and setting multiple program records, including most career goals (50).
In 2022, she suffered a torn ACL and meniscus, but she made a strong comeback in 2023, helping Pittsburgh achieve its best season in program history.
She captained her college team.
She became the first player from Pittsburgh to be drafted into the NWSL, when she was selected 36th overall in the 2024 NWSL Draft by the Houston Dash.
She is eligible to represent both Canada and Sweden internationally and received her first call-up to the Canadian national team in 2021.
Her dog is named after Evgeni Malkin, the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey superstar.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 2022.
She later completed a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management at Pitt in 2023.
Facing off against Sinclair, a Canadian soccer legend, felt “wild” to her since she grew up idolizing her.
She and former Pitt teammate Landy Mertz still talk every single day, sharing every little detail about their lives.
She went to see Messi play for PSG and has kept the match ticket in her bag since.
