Ísabella Sara Tryggvadóttir is an Icelandic centre-forward who plays for FC Rosengård in Sweden’s Damallsvenskan. She has represented Iceland at youth international level, including Iceland U23.
She grew up in Vesturbær, a neighbourhood in Reykjavík.
She is a twin.
She says football was “everywhere” at home growing up because her family played and watched a lot of football.
Her father is Tryggvi Guðmundsson, who played nearly 250 top-flight matches and won 42 senior caps for Iceland.
Her mother, Hrafnhildur Gunnlaugsdóttir, also played senior football (including for KR and Breiðablik) and appeared for Iceland at youth level.
She doesn’t have a strict matchday routine, but prioritises a good breakfast and drinking lots of water.
She names Cristiano Ronaldo as her “number one” role model.
She likes to ski with her friends and family.
