Claire Dinkla is a Dutch goalkeeper who plays for Feyenoord in the Vrouwen Eredivisie.
She began playing football at VV Kolping Boys in Alkmaar.
She moved through CTO Amsterdam before joining Ajax, then later played for sc Heerenveen.
She played for boys’ teams for a long time early in her development, and says she’s glad she did because she learned a lot at a young age.
She remembers hearing opponents shout things like “there’s a girl in goal,” and she says it motivated her to show what she could do.
As a kid, she was “always busy with a ball,” and she says she was a fan of AZ.
