Kirsten van de Westeringh is a Dutch midfielder who plays for Feyenoord in the Vrouwen Eredivisie and has represented the Netherlands at youth international level up to U23.
She grew up in Zeewolde “between the tulip fields” and used to play football with her brother and the boys in the neighborhood.
She is the host of the women’s football podcast “De Marta Donna’s.”
In April 2023, she tore her ACL and in April 2024, during her rehabilitation period, she had surgery for appendicitis. She made a return after 447 days.
She worked behind the scenes at ESPN during her injury period to learn more about TV and media production.
She followed a journalism course and said she’d like to do something in the journalistic world after her playing career.
