Esmee de Graaf is a Dutch forward who plays for Feyenoord in the Netherlands’ top-flight women’s league. She has also made appearances for the Netherlands women’s national team.
She didn’t start out dreaming of football first—she initially wanted to play tennis.
After her time in England, she said she really wanted to play for Feyenoord—and that actually being there still gives her a “goosebumps” feeling.
At West Ham, she suffered a serious ACL injury in December 2018 that ruled her out for almost a year.
She studied physical education at the CALO in Zwolle while her club career was taking off.
