Sophie Frankena is a Dutch footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. She has represented the Netherlands at the youth international level.

Sophie is a product of the prestigious Feyenoord Academy, where she spent several years developing in their youth system before moving to Excelsior.
Before joining Excelsior, she had a brief developmental stint with FC Utrecht Women during the 2024/25 season to gain further experience in a top-flight environment.
She is a regular in the Dutch national team youth setup and was notably called up for the Montaigu Tournament to represent the Netherlands.
She made her senior professional debut for Excelsior on October 5, 2025, playing the full 90 minutes in a match against PEC Zwolle.
